Hi, I am Leon and 24 years old. I grew up in Munich and moved to Lake Constance a few years ago. Currently I live in Lindau and I am studying again in Dornbirn, Vorarlberg (Austria) to get my Master in Intermedia. Photography awakened my passion for creative work a few years ago and led me to study intermedia at the Vorarlberg University of Applied Sciences. In 2021, I successfully completed my Bachelor of Arts in Arts and Design. I am motivated by my curiosity and the desire to always improve and achieve the best possible. As a communication designer, I deal daily with contemporary and creative solutions that include interactive digital media, print media and more. Design, technology, concepts and realization are part of my job. I have previous experience in print and media design, game development, UX/UI, film graphics, photography, animation, creative problem solving, project management and especially web design.
As part of my studies, I have been involved in various areas such as film, photography, analog and digital design techniques. A big focus was on project management and project planning as well as innovative thinking.
One topic that fascinated me from the very beginning was prototyping and programming. My passion for programming quickly led me to the different areas of web design. The combination of my interests finally resulted in my bachelor thesis with the topic “Corporate design and web design in the context of bouldering”.
Besides creative work, which is one of my biggest hobbies, I also do a lot of sports. Windsurfing and calisthenics are among my oldest hobbies. I started windsurfing at the age of 11 and, apart from a few injuries, I have never lost the fun of it. Lake Constance offers a great opportunity to pursue this hobby.
Calisthenics has been one of my great passions for more than 6 years. There’s a lot more to calisthenics than just sports, it’s a whole way of life. The cohesive and culture plays a big role, as well as learning new skills and performing intense and challenging exercises.
Then in the last 4 years I added bouldering and sport climbing. The combination of power, aesthetics and dynamics fascinated me from the beginning. Creative and unusual movements, as well as the combination of technique, strength and endurance combined with being in nature are simply magical. The social interaction and cohesion within the community that is also found in calisthenics has shaped my life. Therefore, my choice for the topic of my bachelor thesis, after initial difficulties, fell on bouldering.
