Online Marketing | A Social Media Campaign

In my role as an intern at MyLapo, a graphic and web design firm based in Freiburg, Germany, I worked on creating content for the company’s internal social media channels. In doing so, I pursued two basic concepts: Creating proximity to the customer and informing about the services MyLapo offers.

Specifically, I worked on the implementation of three different concepts: “WHO WE ARE”, “HOW WE WORK/ BEHIND THE SCENES” and “WHAT WE DO”. The purpose was to introduce the company and its employees, give a behind-the-scenes look and explain what services MyLapo offers.

By creating engaging and informative content, we were able to increase the reach of the social media channels and raise awareness of the company.

Social Media Campaign

Social media has immense importance for small to medium businesses today as it provides an effective way to reach a large audience in a cost-effective manner. A strong presence on social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn allows businesses to stay in touch with their customers, create brand awareness and drive engagement.

By using social media, companies can not only reach out to their target audience, but also improve interactions with them. This can be done by sharing relevant and engaging content such as products, services, industry news, event invitations or other news.

Social media also provides a great opportunity to get feedback from customers and address their needs and wants. Customer feedback can help improve products and services, thus strengthening the brand image.

In addition to interaction with customers, social media also enables the placement of paid ads. Here, companies can target their audience and increase their visibility and reach.

In summary, social media offers an excellent opportunity for small to medium-sized companies to increase their brand awareness, promote customer interactions and increase their reach.

WHAT WE DO

WHO WE ARE

This is exactly why I created the sub-project “WHO WE ARE” as part of my social media campaign for MyLapo. This involved creating portraits of employees in various areas such as graphic design, web development and online marketing and sharing them on the agency’s social media channels. Through short texts and hashtags, followers were able to gain insight into the personality and expertise of the employees.

The images were kept in a consistent style to ensure a professional and appealing look. In addition, short interviews were also conducted with the employees to give followers even more insight into the agency’s work and to create a personal level.

The “WHO WE ARE” sub-project helped to make the MyLapo company more human and tangible on the social media channels, which in turn contributed to stronger customer loyalty.

WHAT WE DO

The social media campaign for MyLapo also included the sub-project “WHAT WE DO”. This provided insights into the agency’s creative processes in order to bridge a certain distance between the customer and the service provider. The aim was to offer exclusivity and make the client feel involved and special.

To this end, pictures and videos of product development and the creation process of various projects were published. Insights into the agency’s working methods and various skills were provided. This content offered followers on MyLapo’s social media channels not only an interesting diversion, but also the opportunity to get to know and understand the agency and its services better.

HOW WE WORK/
BEHIND THE SCENES

Sharing insights into the work process can be a great way to strengthen the trust and relationship between the customer and the service provider. It can also help demonstrate the team’s competence and expertise, and show the customer that there is a careful work process behind the products or services. Sharing photos or videos of meetings, brainstorming sessions, or other aspects of the creative process can also give customers an idea of how the team works and what its values are.
