As part of my bachelor’s thesis on “The importance of corporate design and web design in the context of bouldering”, I intensively studied the importance of sports photography, especially bouldering photography. For my elaboration, appealing pictures were essential to enable a successful design. This resulted in some impressive shots in the outdoor bouldering and indoor bouldering subcategories.
When selecting and editing the images, my main focus was on authenticity, so most of the images were barely altered and some of them came straight out of the camera. This should enhance the natural beauty and dynamism of the sport.
The photo series “Bouldering Outdoor” was created in a variety of environments, with the shots taken in nature at Spiegelstein – Schwarzer See (AT). The combination of impressive scenery and athletes daringly climbing up the rocks creates a unique atmosphere that I was able to capture with my camera.
The images are not only created in the context of my bachelor thesis, but also part of my portfolio for the field of photography. They serve as a successful example of the combination of sports photography and corporate design, combining the authenticity of sports with the aesthetics of an appealing design.
